RITA ARMFIELD
Rita Armfield -
Rita Armfield is a colourist, working in watercolour, acrylic and
inks using colour design and imagination predominately.
She has been a member of The Society of Feline Artists,
Shepperton Artists, Surbiton Artists and is currently a fellow of
Molesey Art Society running workshops for the Society.
She is also the events and exhibitions organiser of Teddington
Riverside Artists.
Rita has worked on numerous commissions and has won an
SAA art competition with ‘A View From My Window’.
Rita is very content working with watercolour and acrylics but her
preference is ‘inks’. The colours are bright and vibrant with a
translucency that is exciting and effective. Rita likes to enhance
her work on occasions with a fine black waterproof pen as you
will see from some of the work in the picture gallery. Pictures
created in collage use fabrics, papers, foils, and various recycled
materials.
Rita exhibits twice a year (April and October) at Molesey Art Society’s exhibitions and twice a year at Teddington Riverside Artists’ Exhibitions (April & October). Rita also produces a wide selection of greetings cards and prints of her work.
Rita lives and works in Hampton, South West London and is married with two children and four grandchildren.
